I love Westerns so much-Quentin Tarantino

Los Angeles: Quentin Tarantino has revealed that his next movie will be a Western.

The 50-year-old director said that the film will not be a sequel to ‘Django Unchained’ but the experience of making that movie inspired him to make another in the same genre, reported the Rolling Stones magazine.

“I had so much fun doing Django, and I love Westerns so much, that after I taught myself how to make one it’s like, ‘Well, OK, let me make another one now that I know what I’m doing,’” he said during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’.

He appeared on the show to promote the hardcover graphic novel of ‘Django Unchained’.

Kutcher filed for divorce from Moore

Los Angeles: Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have finalized their divorce two years after separating.

The end to the eight-year marriage was made final recently in Los Angeles Superior Court, with both actors agreeing not to pay spousal support.

In March, Moore, 51, had asked the court to grant her financial support from Kutcher, an unusual move for one of the top-earning women in Hollywood during the 1990s.

Kutcher, the star of CBS television comedy ‘Two and a Half Men’, filed for divorce from Moore in December 2012 after more than a year of separation. He cited irreconcilable differences with the ‘G.I. Jane’ star.

The 35-year-old film and TV star has been the highest-paid actor on television for the last two years, earning an estimated $24 million annually, according to Forbes magazine.

Moore began dating Kutcher a few years after her split from actor-husband Bruce Willis, when Kutcher was a young star on the TV sitcom ‘That ’70s Show’.

The relationship became tabloid fodder because of their 16-year age gap, and the couple married in September 2005 in Los Angeles.

Moore and Kutcher separated in November 2011 after six years of marriage, after a San Diego woman said she had a brief affair with Kutcher.

Kutcher is currently dating his former ‘That ’70s Show’ cast-mate Mila Kunis.

Jennifer Lawrence is fabulous-Julia Roberts

Los Angeles: Julia Roberts thinks Jennifer Lawrence is too cool to be America’s sweetheart.

The ‘August: Osage County’ star is a huge fan of ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ beauty but believes the young actress is too edgy to hold the unofficial title, reported Us magazine.

“How many are there of us? She shoots flaming arrows. Is this a new cupid tactic? My card is expired and I didn’t get a new one. I think she’s fabulous, but she seems cooler than me. Isn’t she too cool to be (America’s sweetheart)?,” she said.

Roberts, 46, previously said she always hated being heralded as the most popular actress in Hollywood.

“People should understand that there is nothing tremendously unique about me. I have this tremendously unique job, but we are looking for the same thing, which is to be understood, honoured and loved. I hate the pedestal feeling, the fake heralding,” said Julia.

London: Jennifer Aniston says she often experimented with hairstyles and used variety of dyes in her younger years.

The 44-year-old ‘Friends’ star, who chopped off her long locks and debuted a chic blonde bob earlier this month, said she once used a cheap burgundy dye that faded out to orange, reported Daily Telegraph.

“I didn’t take good care of my hair, and I had some of the worst hairstyles you can imagine, with some of the worst colours,” Aniston said.

“There was a cheap deep burgundy that faded out to orange. Then there was the day I got a mini Mohawk from a place in downtown New York that did USD 6 haircuts. Let’s just say I was a little too pudgy in my teen years to be sporting a short haircut,” she added.

Hip-hop saved Rapper Eminems life

Los Angeles: Rapper Eminem says he began to consume heavy amount of alcohol in the early days of his career as a means to deal with the fear of performing on stage.

The 41-year-old singer, who rose to popularity with the release of his 1999 album The Slim Shady LP, had severe drug issues in the past.

“Early in my career when things started happening so fast, I think it was more liquor than anything. I was using it was a crutch more for anxiety to go onstage,” Eminem told Rolling Stone magazine.

“I’m not saying I wouldn’t have become an addict if I never got famous. It was more about ‘I need this onstage – I can’t handle this many people looking at me’,” he added.

The singer, who took help for overcoming his addiction, is happy to have finally conquered his problem.

“I’m as happy as I can be, I guess. Hip-hop saved my life, man. It’s the only thing I’ve ever been even decent at. I don’t know how to do anything else,” he said.

The 19-year-old singer has been on a rampage in recent time be it his fight with his neighbours, sneaking out of a Brazilian brothel, illegally making a graffiti on a wall, spitting on fans from a hotel balcony, desecrating a photo of Bill Clinton or disrespecting the Argentinian flag during one of his tours.

Bieber’s antics have raised many concerns in Hollywood community with Oprah Winfrey, Adam Levine, Mark Wahlberg, Rita Wilson, Eminem and Drake cautioning the singer to tread carefully.

Bieber, however, has found a true mentor in Hollywood star Will Smith, who according to his manager Scooter Braun, once woke up Bieber to have a three-hour long chat.

Kristen Stewart affair with Robert Pattinson

Los Angeles: Estranged couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have reportedly rekindled their romance and the actress apparently is keen on going public with it.

Stewart, 23, and Pattinson, 27, who parted ways earlier this year, have reportedly been meeting secretly since sometime, reported Hollywood Life.

Will Ferrell Anchorman 2 premiere in Sydney

Will Ferrell and the rest of the cast of ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ crossed live to Australia on Sunday, walking down a burgundy carpet at the comedy’s premiere in Sydney to the cheers of swarming fans.

Following the news team as they adapt to working at a 24-hour channel, the highly anticipated sequel to ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy’ reunites Farrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Christina Applegate.

The 2004 original, with the dapper Burgundy challenged by the arrival of the ambitious Veronica Corningstone, won cult-like status on the back of plucky one-liners and satirical commentary on the ingrained sexism of the 1970s. It made about $90 million at the box office.

Ferrell, who plays the central character, said he thought fans would enjoy the sequel.

“Each one has a new life to itself and I think they’re all fun in their own way,” said Ferrell. “I think what’s fun about these characters is they really don’t show any emotional growth whatsoever.”

Director Adam McKay, known for his collaborations with Ferrell, was already holding out the possibility of a third movie.

Due for public release on December 20, the sequel features cameos by a raft of celebrities including Liam Neeson, James Marsden, Nicole Kidman and Kanye West.

“I think if you liked the first one you’ll like this one. It raises the bar a little from the first one. I don’t think the writers rested on their morals. They took this idea and amplified it,” said Carell, who returns as not-so-bright weatherman Brick Tamland.

In character as Burgundy, Ferrell has conducted a guerrilla marketing campaign by cycling with electronic music duo Daft Punk, presenting at the MTV European awards, releasing a short video before the Australian elections and serenading embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford on television.

“We tend to shoot it as written and we work around it. Will is such an incredible improviser and Adam likes to work like that and there’s always crazy stuff happening,” said Paul Rudd, who plays reporter and ladies’ man Brian Fantana.

“I don’t think these characters evolve too much. But things have happened in the interim.”

Michael Lynton, Sony Pictures’ Entertainment chief, said, “We do very much have the ambition about creating a bigger universe around Spider-Man. There are a number of scripts in the works.”

He added that Sony is “working closely with Marvel and Disney” to make this possible.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′, which is set for an April 2014 release, will feature a host of classic villains from the original comics including the Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and the Green Goblin (Chris Cooper).

Joseph Gordon to star in Sandman

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is reportedly in talks to star in David Goyer’s upcoming movie ‘Sandman’.

The ‘Don Jon’ director allegedly teams up with the ‘Man of Steel’ writer in an effort to turn Neil Gaiman’s story to the big screen.

According to reports, the ‘Looper’ star is part of the comic adaptation that ‘Man of Steel’ writer David S Goyer has pitched to Warner Bros.

While it’s unclear what role the ‘Premium Rush’ actor contributes to the project, report suggests he may be attached to portray the lead role, Morpheus. Although WB is “very receptive” with the idea presented by Goyer, the feature film is still in a very early stage.

There have been a couple of efforts to bring Neil Gaiman’s story to either the big or small screen, but none came to fruition.

“I’d rather see no ‘Sandman’ movie made than a bad ‘Sandman’ movie. But I feel like the time for a ‘Sandman’ movie is coming soon. We need someone who has the same obsession with the source material as Peter Jackson had with ‘Lord of the Rings’ or Sam Raimi had with ‘Spider-Man’,” he said.

Gordon-Levitt was last seen in ‘Don Jon’, which also marked his directing and screenwriting debut. He will next be seen in ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’.

Hugh Jackman treated for skin cancer

Australian actor Hugh Jackman revealed Thursday that he had been treated for skin cancer, posting a picture of himself with a plaster on his nose.

The Oscar-nominated Hollywood star warned Twitter followers to have suspicious marks checked and to use sunscreen.

“Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked,” he wrote on his Twitter account, referring to his wife Deborra-Lee Furness.

“Boy, was she right! I had a basil (sic) cell carcinoma. Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!” he wrote, with a link to an Instagram picture of himself.

He did not explicitly say that he had had it removed, or when it was diagnosed. A spokesman, Alan Nierob, gave no other details, apart from the Twitter post.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer, with over 2 million cases diagnosed in the United States every year, according to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).

It usually develops on skin exposed to the sun such as the head, neck and back of hands, but is especially common on the face and nose. People who use tanning beds have a much higher risk of getting it.

“This type of skin cancer grows slowly. It rarely spreads to other parts of the body,” said the AAD on its website, adding that treatment is “important because BCC can grow wide and deep, destroying skin tissue and bone.”

Jackman, known for his roles in the ‘X-Men’ blockbusters and this year’s ‘The Wolverine’, was nominated for an Academy Award for last year’s musical adaptation of ‘Les Miserables’.

Lady Gaga ARTPOP sold 258,000 copies

Los Angeles: Lady Gaga’s third studio album, ‘ARTPOP’, debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart after three months of steady promotion behind singles “Applause” and “Do What U Want.”

The album sold 258,000 copies in its first week of release, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. Fifty-seven percent of those sales were digital downloads, Billboard said.

It is the 27-year-old pop singer’s second No. 1 album on the weekly U.S. chart. ‘Born This Way’ debuted in the top spot in 2011, selling 1.1 million copies in its opening week, helped by a 99-cent promotion on online retailer Amazon.

Lady Gaga, one of the world’s most recognizable singers, was unable to match this year’s top-selling debut, Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience,” which sold 968,000 copies in its opening week in March.

Rapper Eminem’s ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2′, last week’s top album, was No. 2 with 210,000 copies in sales.

Pop hits compilation ‘Now 48′ entered the chart at No. 3 with 114,000 in sales, while ‘Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas’, a holiday album by the cast of reality TV series ‘Duck Dynasty’ dropped a spot to No. 4 with 66,000.

Pop singer Katy Perry’s ‘PRISM’ fell a spot to No. 5 with 46,000 in sales.

Other new albums in the top 10 this week were the Beatles’ ‘On Air: Live at the BBC Volume 2′ at No. 7 with 37,000 in sales and R&B singer-songwriter Jhene Aiko’s debut, ‘Sail Out’, an EP that sold 34,000 copies, good enough for eighth.

Eminem’s song “The Monster”, which features R&B singer Rihanna, was the top song on the digital songs chart with 243,000 downloads in the past week.

Albums sales for the past week were 5.4 million, a 5 percent decline from the same week last year, Billboard said.

Digital song sales were down 10 percent to 19.9 million downloads compared to the same week last year, according to the trade publication.

Chris Brown stay in a rehabilitation

A Los Angeles judge on Wednesday ordered R&B singer Chris Brown to complete a 90-day substance abuse and anger management program, capping a probation hearing that followed the Grammy winner’s assault charge in Washington, D.C., last month.

The judge also requested more information about the arrest to determine whether the 24-year-old singer had violated the terms of his probation.

Brown was placed on five years’ probation as part of his 2009 sentence for assaulting fellow R&B singer and girlfriend Rihanna. He also was ordered then to perform 180 days of community service and undergo domestic violence counseling.

In addition to the latest order for rehab, Brown will have to serve at least 24 hours of community service a week, submit to periodic drug testing and take prescribed medication, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Brandlin ordered.

The singer responded “yes” when the judge asked if he accepted the modified terms of probation.

While Brown is to remain in Los Angeles County, the judge said the performer would be allowed to travel to Washington for court dates related to the assault charge, the next of which is set for Monday.

Brown pleaded not guilty in October to misdemeanor assault stemming from an incident in which police said both he and his bodyguard both punched a man in the face outside a Washington hotel, where Brown had a nightclub appearance.

The singer served a voluntary two-week stay in a rehabilitation facility for anger management after his arrest.

Brown has had several highly publicized altercations in recent years, including a brawl between his entourage and that of rapper Drake at a New York night club and a parking lot fracas with R&B singer Frank Ocean in January in West Hollywood.

Brown’s probation was revoked in May in relation to a hit-and-run traffic accident. It was reinstated in August after he agreed to complete 1,000 additional hours of community service.

In February, he was accused by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office of cutting corners in this community service sentence, which he was allowed to complete in his home state of Virginia.

Prosecutors alleged that Brown was not at the recorded location of his community service but was instead performing or traveling, once on a private jet bound for Cancun, Mexico.

Judge Brandlin set the next probation hearing for December 16.
